Instructions
Cold Brew Coffee
1. Grind 68 grams of coffee on a coarse setting. The ground should be the size of kosher salt, similar to what is used for a French press.
2. Gently remove the silicone bottle top from the glass base then remove the filter. Open the filter case and add the ground coffee. Put the lid back on the filter case and lock the filter case inside the silicone bottle top.
3. Fill the glass base with water. The bottle has three small gray squares etched vertically along the side. The water should come up to the top square, which equals about 750 grams.
4. Remove the rubber cork and gently lower the filter into the bottle, allowing the water to pass into the coffee grounds.
5. Press gently to attach the silicone top to the glass base and replace the rubber cork.
6. Shake gently to agitate the grounds with the water.
7. Refrigerate for 8 hours. You can let it sit for up to 18 hours.
8. After you have completed extraction, gently shake the bottle to stir the coffee.
9. Slowly remove the silicone top and filter from the bottle and discard the grounds. Then replace the silicone top back onto the glass base.
10. You're now ready to enjoy. Your cold brew will stay fresh in the Hario cold brew bottle for up to one week if kept refrigerated.
