This coffee returns to our menus year after year because we can’t get enough of it. It has all the hallmarks of an exemplary Kenyan coffee. Its brilliant brightness is made approachable by a complex fruitiness that comes across in sweet, tart notes of black cherry. However, this coffee breaks the mold with its intense floral aroma and lavender-like taste, a trademark unique to the Kiambu region.

Small-Estate Specialization
Kiambu is known for its small-estate coffee growers who create some of the top-scoring microlots in the country. They are able to continue their specialization because of cooperatives like Handege Factory and its efforts to bring growers together to create lots large enough to sell. This coffee was wash processed at Handege after being collected from small estates throughout the region.
