As the first female Cup of Excellence winner, Aida Batlle is a coffee legend known for her innovation. She breaks boundaries with this coffee, veering from the typical Salvadoran washed Bourbons to bring us a natural processed SL-28. Notes of juicy berries create a tart sweetness that’s intrinsically balanced. It’s layered with deep base notes of brown sugar and lightened by a floral aroma.

Not only was Batlle the first woman to win a Cup of Excellence competition, but she was also the winner of El Salvador’s inaugural COE and the first producer to submit multiple processes (washed, natural, and honey) to the competition. Due to her name recognition and small volumes, Batlle has the luxury of choosing her buyers and sells only to roasters who bring out the best in her coffees.
