Coffee Pioneers Shaping the Future

Régulo Gerardo Ureña, owner and producer at Café Rivense, has spent the last seven years testing cultivars bred to be climate-adaptive and specialty grade. The goal has been to introduce new cultivars into production that perform well in the cup, as well as in the field. The H17 is a Catuai and Ethiopia wild-type hybrid, showing high potential for quality among these adaptive cultivars.
