About This Coffee
A white honey-processed coffee this regal results from a thousand steps done right. The veteran farmer behind it, Roger Ureña Hildago, learned the craft from his father and grandfather. His farm, Santa Teresa, sits in Costa Rica’s Tarrazú region, famed for its high elevations and chilly nights that make for richer coffee. About a decade ago, Hildago acquired a micromill that allowed him to oversee his harvest from start to finish. Now, he and his son Alex work together to realize their coffee’s potential, a summation of geography, technique, and wisdom.
