About This Coffee

After spending time in the tiny country of Burundi, our Coffee Buyer, Charlie, declared the Long Miles Coffee Project to be one of the best producer groups in Africa. Indeed, from its candy-like sweetness to the social progressiveness of its producers, the uncommon goodness of Long Miles rings true at every level. Munyinya is the name of a hill next to Bukeye washing station—the first hill to ever sell to Long Miles when they built Bukeye in 2013—and this namesake lot is one single delivery day from harvest last summer.

This single origin represents the best transparency that the Kayanza Province has to offer; it's a snapshot from a months-long process that, like a note soaring into symphony, is as fleeting as it is precious. Combined with the region's mature rootstock and vital soils, the Long Miles Project's meticulous processing brings the Munyinya sweetness into crystalline order.
