Single Origin Coffee

A shining light of sustainability

Brazil FAF Silvia Barretto
Last year, Brazil produced 50 million 60-kilo bags of coffee. With only a few hundred kilos of Brazil FAF Silvia Barretto to our name, Blue Bottle can claim only a fraction of the country’s coffee export—but we’re certain we singled out some of the very best. Rare as a needle in a haystack, Silvia’s organic coffee is a little batch of brilliance.

About This Coffee
Husband-and-wife team Marcos Croce and Silvia Barretto, have made FAF into one of Brazil’s leading organic farms. The entire operation, which includes a center for coffee education, proves that true sustainability extends far beyond farming methods to consideration of the social and economic welfare of those who work the land. Silvia Barretto oversees the coffee production, and she and her team make some of the best naturals around. This one is no exception. In the cup, expect the clarity and decadence of a just-picked strawberry: syrupy and piercing, as if warmed by the June sun.
  • Our coffees go through a rigorous selection and quality-testing process, and we only share the coffees that have most captured our imaginations.
  • Each bag of Brazil FAF Silvia Barretto whole beans is shipped to you within 24 hours of roasting from our Oakland roastery.
  • Certified Organic by CCOF
