82 small producers from the Huila region of Colombia make up the growers association “El Desarrollo” that is responsible for this exceptional lot - our very first Colombia coffee offering! “Colombian coffee” has long been a household name in the U.S. as the first coffee origin to get a major marketing push and a permanent presence in cans on store shelves. But beyond its mass market recognition, Colombia coffees can often clobber the competition in terms of cup quality owing to excellent growing conditions and the sophistication of many of the producers. The matamba is a great exemplar of a balanced and brilliant Huila coffee showcasing a core of sweetness, stone fruits, and cocoa while revealing different facets in every brew method.
