Los Liquidambos farm is nestled in the foothills of Celaque National Park, in San Andres de Lempira, Honduras. Humberto Ardon bought the farm in 2010 and has been tending the Caturra and Catuaí coffee there ever since. Liquidambar, inga, and pine trees provide shade for the coffee and habitat for the wild toucans. Humberto has worked hard to preserve the natural forest and streams on the farm. With the help of his brother, José Ardon, Humberto has donated thousands of backpacks and supplies to local schools, and contributed to the construction of a health center and the donation of needed medicine. Los Liquidambos makes a delightfully sweet cup, with dark chocolate setting the stage for flavors of huckleberry and red grapes.
