Honduras Santa Bárbara Ana Letis Reyes
In San Jose Los Andes, where opportunities for work are few, many people must travel to distant cities for jobs. While parents are away, Ana Letis Reyes becomes a caretaker for the children who remain. As she treks between her own farm and her mothers’ each day, a gaggle of children usually follows close behind. As Ana tends to the Pacas trees on her farm, she shows a new generation that sometimes—when the good fortune of land and climate converge—coffee offers a way to stay close to home.
