Costa Rica Tarrazú Santa Rosa 1900
Efraín and Gelberth Naranjo are artisans, ably moving between their four high-elevation farms, perfecting each step of cultivation and processing along the way. Like masters of any trade, delight comes from skillful improvisation—where delicious coffee is inevitable, but what kind of delicious is an unknown. The Santa Rosa 1900 is a “white honey,” which means that after the cherry has been picked and the skin removed, a trace of fruit remains during the drying process. What we get in the cup is a clean, pristinely fresh coffee with a fruited, polychromatic end.
