For five years now, we’ve treasured the “white honey” coffees from the Naranjo family farms in central Costa Rica. Processed at a staggering 1,900 meters, these microlots can almost too easily be described as heavenly, but there’s more to their flavor than proximity to el cielo. While this single origin’s processing plays a role in its deliciousness, the truth is that it tastes like a fully-washed coffee—in other words, it’s clean and articulate, with a confectionary sugar profile and the subtle acidity of a ripe peach.
