San Ignacio de Caranavi, in the lush Nor Yungas Valley of Bolivia, is the home of grower Juana Mamani, who brings us this remarkably beautiful lot made up of Caturra and Typica variety coffee. The red clay soil and warm, accommodating climate of Nor Yungas help to give this coffee its depth and flavor. After harvest, a great deal of precision goes into the preparation of this coffee at the nearby Buenavista Mill, located just outside of Caranavi, to maintain its pleasing attributes. Expect flavors of almond and vanilla to dominate, while hints of citrus and chocolate linger.
