Coffee Maker

Your kitchen’s automated companion

Background

By our own standards, we still think a handmade cup of coffee will always be more special, but sometimes, we all feel the need to press a button and let the gentle hum of modernity ease our busy, bothered minds. The first automatic drip brewer was patented in the 1950s and has since become a fixture in hotel rooms, break rooms, and the kitchens of coffee connoisseurs and novices alike. An envelope of Blue Bottle Perfectly Ground—with the right amount of fresh coffee at the right grind—will give you a more delicious cup without sacrificing any of the convenience.

Step 1

Pour 1½ cups (350 g) of cold water into the coffee maker reservoir.

Step 2

Step 3
